Small plane crashes in Virginia Beach
Pilot sustains non-life-threatening injuries

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A single-engine plane crashed in a field in front of Cape Henry Collegiate school in the 1300 block of Mill Dam Rd. in Virginia Beach Saturday afternoon.
The pilot told fire officials he was not injured in the crash. He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
The pilot told rescue crews that he was trying to make it to Naval Air Station Oceana, according to Battalion Chief Ken Pravetz of the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
