VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Thousands of runners braved the cool morning temperatures and hit the streets Saturday for the Virginia is for Lovers 14K in Virginia Beach.

The Valentine’s themed race featured events for individuals and couples. It’s also one of the few local races that ends at an indoor finish line.

After the race, runners celebrated at the post-race party.

Organizers say it’s a great way to kick off Valeninte’s week.
