VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - At least two other residents have jumped the bandwagon, offering discounts to gun-toting customers.
Virginia Beach's All Around Pizza gained national attention last week when its owner offered patrons who owned guns or carry a conceal and carry license a 15 percent discount.
Som Bao Cafe and Mom's Kitchen are offering a similar discount, but their patrons are split on the benefits.
"I don't want to be in any restaurant where there's a gun visible, and I'd like to think nobody in here has a concealed weapon even if they've got a permit," Mom's Kitchen patron Ruth Brogan said. "I'm just anti-gun all the way. I'm sorry."
However, customer Jay Goldman proudly showed his permit.
"I have no problem with carrying a gun in a restaurant. I don't even have any problems with carrying one in a bar. I'm fairly liberal," Jay Goldman said.
