Police: Woman made up stabbing incident

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A woman who claimed to have been stabbed in a parking lot on Providence Road Friday was charged with filing a false police report after a police investigation found that the incident did not happen.

Police were called to the Kroger parking lot in the 5200 block of Providence Road around 12:45 p.m. Friday after a woman reported was stabbed during an attempted robbery.

The woman claimed a white male in his 20s had stabbed her multiple times, according to a police spokeswoman.

After detectives interviewed the supposed victim and witnesses in the area the determined that the incident did not happen.

Laura Radomski, 59, of Virginia Beach has been charged with filing a false police report, which is a misdemeanor, and released on a summons.
