VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police responded to nearly 200 traffic accidents in just a nine-hour period during Friday’s winter storm.
Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said officers responded to 176 accidents and nine accidents with reported injuries between 3 p.m. and midnight Friday.
Saturday, officers responded to 63 accidents and eight accidents with reported injuries between midnight and midnight.
Sunday, officers responded to 18 accidents and one accident with reported injuries between midnight and midnight.
No one was seriously injured in the 275 accidents in Virginia Beach during the weekend. Police report only minor injuries and no fatalities.
