Mardi Gras celebration at the beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police cordially invite you to an event to benefit the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers Program.
The event, 2013 Mardi Gras Gala, will be held Feb. 2 at the Cavalier Hotel located at 4201 Atlantic Ave. in Virginia Beach from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Attire should be a Mardi Gras costume or coat and tie and will cost $50 per person.
Events include a queen’s parade, prizes for best mask and best costume, a raffle, auction and more.
Hotel accommodation will also be available at the Cavalier Hotel. Prices begin at $79 for an ocean view room and $99 for an oceanfront room. To reserve a room, call 757-425-8555 and request the Crime Solvers Mardi Gras rates.
