VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A grand jury has indicted a man on charges of second degree murder and malicious wounding in connection to a stabbing at a Virginia Beach apartment complex in May.
Joshua Daniel Campbell, 28, of Norfolk was also indicted Monday on a charge of aggravated malicious wounding. Campbell is accused of stabbing three people on May 6 in the 5100 block of Venture Court.
One of the victims, Joseph Brinkos, 20, later died at a hospital.
The other victims were treated and released for their injuries.
Campbell's girlfriend told WAVY.com the day after the stabbings that the incident stemmed from an argument after a woman said Campbell hit her. Campbell's girlfriend claims that wasn't true.
"I just want everyone to know he was a victim and this was self defense," she told WAVY.com.
