VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Thousands of people across the country will be tuning in Thursday night to watch Virginia Beach's Gabby Douglas perform in the Women's Gymnastics All-Around competition in London.
Aspiring gymnasts gathered in their coach's office Tuesday to watch Virginia Beach native Gabby Douglas and the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team capture the gold medal in London.

"I've done [gymnastics] for so long, it's just my life," 17-year-old gymnast Helaina Dollins said. "[Gabby] was very impressive. It takes a lot of heart, a lot of work. She's very dedicated."
Fourteen-year-old Kassidy Cumber trains with Dollins at Gymstrada Gym in Virginia Beach.
"I want to get to the Olympics," Cumber said. "But if I don't achieve that, I want a college scholarship. I think if you try to dream and set goals and try to make it happen, then it can happen."
Coverage of Thursday's events starts at 8 p.m. on WAVY News.
