VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A pro-light rail group has raised more than $200,000 in an effort to bring the Tide to Virginia Beach.
Move Hampton Roads has raised $220,000 to support the passage of a Nov. 6 light rail ballot initiative. The group says it has spent more than $150,000 of that money on a marketing campaign to gain support for the initiative.
According to MHR, light rail opponents have not formed a PAC at this time.
