VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The load has been lifted at the Virginia Beach SPCA. After seeing our story air on WAVY News 10, a local laundromat has stepped up to help the shelter whose washers broke due to the limitless amount of laundry they do per day.
The shelter normally does up to 70 loads of laundry per day, but several of their washers had broken. Officials were asking volunteers to take a load home, wash it and return it.
Thankfully, Dolphin Laundry in Virginia Beach heard their story and has offered to donate some of their washing machines. They've also agreed to do their laundry until the new washers are installed.
