VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - City crews began working on the final steps of the Laskin Gateway Project this week.
The "Gateway to the Oceanfront" is set to be finished by June. Monday, crews closed Laskin Road between 30th Street and Arctic Avenue while work continues to upgrade storm drains, remove stoplights, build wider sidewalks and put in more landscaping.
The project cost just under $30 million.
