VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Public Works is installing a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Laskin Road and Arctic Avenue that will be in operation beginning Monday, Feb. 13.
According to a city news release, the traffic signal was removed and replaced with 2-way stop signs on Laskin Road in May 2011 with the completion of Phase III of the Laskin-Gateway Project.
The traffic signal will replace the stop signs at the intersection and will remain in place until Phase IV, the final phase, is completed. This is tentatively set to be complete in June 2013.
At that time, the new Laskin-Gateway traffic configuration will take effect and the temporary traffic signal will be removed.
Crews will begin installing the traffic signal this week.
