VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A grinch is on the loose in the resort city of Virginia Beach. Christmas gifts are disappearing from doorsteps.
One homeowner in the Great Neck area near Cox High School caught the thieves on camera. The home surveillance video shows two female suspects arriving about 30 minutes after the UPS driver left packages on the porch. The homeowners say they were tipped off when someone in a different neighborhood found an empty box with their address on it.
"It's scary in a way because they might decide to start shopping inside. I was hoping the police would come and get this [video] and try to get that license plate, make and model, something," the homeowner told WAVY.com
The stolen presents were for the couple's children. They have emailed pictures of the four door silver vehicles seen in the video to the neighborhood so everyone can be on the lookout.
