VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach golden girl Gabby Douglas was honored Friday evening at the Neptune Festival in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms declared Sept. 28 as Gabrielle Douglas Day. Sessoms presented Gabby with a "Key to the City" at 31st Street.

Hampton native and gold medalist Francena McCorory will join Gabby and the mayor in a parade Saturday.
