Fallen AC unit injures two VB workers

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Two workers were injured when an industrial air conditioning unit fell on them in Virginia Beach Monday.

Battalion Chief Tim Riley with the Virginia Beach Fire Department told WAVY.com the incident occurred just after 11 a.m. in the 4400 block of Corporation Lane. The AC unit was being lifted by a crane when it fell 10’ on the workers.

Both workers suffered serious injuries and had to be removed using VBFD’s ladder truck, Riley said. They will be transported to a trauma center for treatment.
