VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Lynnhaven Elementary School students have a special message for a postal worker named Celia Ruiz: Thank you.
Friday morning, students and teachers greeted Ruiz with a sign expressing their gratitude.
Ruiz is credited with saving the life of one of the students by pushing the child out of the way as a suspected drunken driver swerved into the child's path at a bus stop on Jan. 19. Ruiz then performed CPR to the child at the scene until emergency workers could tend to him.
