VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 19-year-old man is facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection to a crash on Jan. 23 that killed a 27-year-old woman in Virginia Beach.
Brian Thomas Herzing of Virginia Beach was charged in the deadly crash in the 400 block of Princess Anne Road. Virginia Beach Police say he was traveling southbound on Princess Anne Road in a blue 2001 Ford Explorer when he drifted into the northbound lane and struck a black 2003 Ford F150 truck head-on.
The driver of the truck, 27-year-old Andrea Renee White of Portsmouth, was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
Herzing was arrested Thursday after he was indicted by a Grand Jury.
