VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - On the first Monday of October, advocates for domestic violence gather nationwide to remember victims.
A ceremony was held Monday evening at the fountain at Town Center in Virginia Beach.
Dozens of people lit candles and many showed up wearing purple to raise awareness on domestic violence throughout Hampton Roads.
