VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - One Virginia Beach church is mourning the loss of two members who were killed in the deadly attack in Afghanistan on August 6.
Members of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church are remembering the lives Navy SEALs Kevin Houston and Louis Langlais.
"We're thankful for these guys. Every time we gather to worship we're free to do that because the men and women before them and because of these men who gave their lives," said Rev. Kyle Wall, the pastor at Atlantic Shores.
Wall said Houston and Langlais worked with the youth ministry and that the church is supporting their families.
"We've set up a fund. We're supporting the SEAL Team fund to give to the entire group," added Wall.
A memorial service for Houston will be held Thursday. Details on the memorial service for Langlais are still pending.
