Beach police looking for peeping Tom

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Residents in one Virginia Beach neighborhood are a little uneasy because police say a peeping Tom is lurking.

"We've never had any problems like this before," neighbor Robin Willison said.

Police say a woman in Vista Pointe Condos reported that early Wednesday morning she saw a stranger peaking through her window. The woman, who lives on the first floor, had just gotten out of the shower when she saw the man.

"I'm sure she feels violated and that's just sad," Vista Pointe resident Heather Ferris said.

The idea of someone running around peaking in windows is enough to make anyone's skin crawl, especially
Ferris' because she lives next door to where it happened.

"He's already looking at something he shouldn't be looking at, who knows what else he'll do," Ferris exclaimed.

The victim told police the man was on the backside of the homes, so there was no reason for him to be there.

"When you told me he was looking through the area in the back, that's an area that nobody even walks [in], much less going up to the window and looking into the windows," Ferris said.

Police told WAVY.com the victim did not get a look at the suspect. Anyone with information should give the Crime Line a call at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
