VB man accused of child sex crimes

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach man is behind bars following accusations he sexually assaulted two children.
Police spokesman Jimmy Barnes said the children reported the assault to an adult. Barnes said police were contacted on April 19 about the incidents, which allegedly occurred between Jan. 2010 and April 2012.
Police met with the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Michael A. Orton, and he was arrested.
Barnes said Orton is charged with two counts each of aggravated sexual battery of a minor under the age of 13 and custodial indecent liberties.
He is currently being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
Barnes added the case is still under investigation.
