WASHINGTON - Members of the historic First Baptist Church in Norfolk will head to the nation's capital next month to be a part of Barack Obama's inauguration.
The trip will come 50 years to the month after six of the city's public schools were ordered to integrate and shut down instead.
Church trustee Michael Lawton says those making the trip include some of the Norfolk 17, the students who were the first to break the color barrier.
