Truck fires halt I-64 traffic

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - All lanes of Interstate 64 westbound were closed Wednesday evening due to two truck fires.

According to VDOT, the lanes could be reopened by 9 p.m. this evening. The truck fires were located at mile marker 205 near the Route 249 exit.

VDOT reported a 13-mile delay shortly after 6 p.m.

Route 60 can be taken as an alternate, as well as Route 106 north at exit 211.
