SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A train derailed in Suffolk Tuesday when the wheels of its engine came off the tracks, said Debbie George, public information office for Suffolk police. There were no injuries.

George said there was a small amount of damage to the tracks, and none of the cars overturned when the train derailed. A contractor has been sent to repair the damage.

The train derailed working in the 2300 block of Wilroy Road in Suffolk, near the BASF plant.
