CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - TME Enterprises, Inc. is now facing illegal dumping charges in Chesapeake as well as Norfolk.

The Virginia Department of Transportation's contractor is facing an unlawful dumping charge in Chesapeake. Last week, it was announced crews with the Chesapeake Fire Marshal's office were investigating the company's site at 3904 South Military Highway. The plot is owned by VDOT and rented by TME.

TME is also facing misdemeanor charges in the City of Norfolk for also tossing road debris into the city's stormwater system.

TME is due in Chesapeake court March 19, according to representatives with the Chesapeake City Attorney's Office.

Document: TME summons in Norfolk

The documents state the polluting occurred between Jan. 16, 2013 and Feb. 6, 2013 at the Norfolk location.

TME was most notably involved in the emergency pothole repairs on Interstate 264 eastbound earlier this month .
