Three hurt in Suffolk truck accident

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A pickup truck ran off the road on Rt. 58 Thursday evening injuring three people.

Police said a man driving a Ford Ranger westbound veered off the road and ejected his two female passengers. The accident happened just before 7 p.m. at Pine Chapel Drive.

Medics took two of the injured to Sentara Obici Hospital. The third victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General. Police said the victims, who ranged in age between 18 and 20,  were in stable condition.

The accident closed one lane of Rt. 58 westbound at Holland Road. The cause remains under investigation.
