SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - As the saying goes, like mother, like daughter. Police tell WAVY.com, the mother of a woman who was convicted of animal cruelty after her horses were found starving and tied to a tree off Wilroy Road in September of 2009 is facing animal cruelty charges herself.
Jennifer Harrell 's mother, Linda Vann is accused of tying a goat to a tree with no water, leaving a small dog in a rabbit hutch with inadequate water and shelter, as well as leaving three other dogs without water.
Vann was charged with animal cruelty/inability to care after a visit from Animal Control on February 3.
Vann faced similiar charges involving rabbits in August of 2010 but those were dismissed.
She will be in court on the latest charges in March.
