SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Three Suffolk teens are facing gang-related charges after police say they robbed a pizza delivery driver in December.
Police originally arrested and charged Demetrius Lamar Bazemore, 18, Trashion Brown, 18, and Deshaun Tyrel Griffin, 18, with a robbery.
Police said they went back and charged the teens with prohibited criminal street gang participation, as they were acting on behalf of the Lloyd Street gang when the crime was committed.
According to police, a delivery driver was delivering pizza to the 100 block of South 4th Street on Dec. 12, 2011 when he was approached by thee men.
Police said one of the men showed a handgun and demanded money. The driver gave a small amount of money to the suspects.
