SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk woman found guilty of animal cruelty was back in court Tuesday, facing new charges that she violated a court order.

Jennifer Harrell was found guilty of violating show cause by a judge and was sentenced to 30 days in jail -- all of which was suspended.  However, a judge did order Harrell to have seven goats and seven rabbits removed from her property by April 4, 2011 or go to jail.

Harrell was found guilty of animal cruelty back in 2009 after several emaciated horses were found tied to trees off of Wilroy Road in Suffolk.

Earlier this month, WAVY.com spoke with Harrell who said all the goats, rabbits and dog are not hers. She said just one dog and one goat are under her care. The home where the animals roam has been a growing site of frustration for neighbors who, over the years, dealt with horses and goats on their property.

In one particular case, Jennifer said the goats got out because there wasn't a lock on the pen, but in another case she said someone cut the fence.

In court Tuesday, Jennifer stood by her claim that the animals are not hers.

"I hope she gets the message that's the purpose of having her brought before the court. We are going to be following through," said Commonwealth's Attorney Susan Walton.

Jennifer hid in the court house until our interview with Walton, then she dashed through the exit. 10 On Your Side caught up with her at her car. Jennifer ran at us, grabbed the camera and yelled she would comply with the judge's decision.

"Yes, we have no choice. My kid's pets and my mother's animals have to be gone," yelled Harrell.

As Jennifer drove out of the court house parking lot, she didn't get far. A police officer ticketed her a block away for driving on a suspended license.

Jennifer's mother, Linda Vann , is also facing animal cruelty charges.
