SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk firefighters battled a house fire in the 2800 block of S. Nansemond Drive Wednesday night.
The fire was reported at 11:09 p.m. and brought under control in about 20 minutes, according to a Suffolk news release.
When crews arrived, they found the fire in the attic of the house.
The occupants of the home, three adults and one child, are being assisted by the Suffolk Chapter of the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
