SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Cedric Scott will officially begin his duties as Suffolk fire chief April 2.
Scott began his career in 1987 in Georgia and was named Fireman of the Year in 1995. He is a 2012 graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program.
"We are looking forward to Cedric Scott taking the top leadership position," City Manager Selena Cuffee-Glenn said. "His priority for the fire department and the citizens of Suffolk will be to provide excellent public safety and emergency services."
