SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - As snow fell in Suffolk late Thursday into early Friday, the precipitation was met with surprise.
"I was looking out. all that snow was coming down. It was beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing it come down but this morning it stopped," lamented Marvin Hudson of Suffolk.
He said he saw the first flakes around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Justin Sullivan, a student who waited during a two-hour delay from school, contemplated how he would play in the white stuff.
"I was going to do a snowball fight outside but I don't think there's enough to make a snowman," he told WAVY.com.
Frederick Scott said, "It's been a while since I [saw] some snow back here in Virginia. I'm in the military. Everywhere I go it's hard to see snow. It's good to see snow here now that I'm back home for awhile."
