SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The City of Suffolk began a "Pot Hole Blitz" campaign city wide.

Suffolk maintains nearly 1500 miles of roadways and intends to utilize all its resources to effectively seek and repair potholes throughout the city.

The city is calling on you to help them by nominating your "favorite" pothole. This will help the city identify where the trouble spots are and repair them as soon as possible.

To report potholes to the City of Suffolk, first, call the Roadway Maintenance Hotline at 757-514-7600. Someone will be there to answer your call from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and has an answering service during other hours. You may also report a pot hole on the City's website: http://www.suffolk.va.us/pub_wks/pothole.html . And finally, you can send an email to PWcontact@suffolkva.us .

The "pothole blitz" will take place from March 28 through April 1, 2011.

Should the City be able to assist with pothole repairs or any other type of roadway maintenance issues, please call 757-514-7600.
