Motorcyclist airlifted after Suffolk crash

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital following a crash near a Suffolk school Friday.

Tim Kelley with the City of Suffolk said the crash occurred in the 3300 block of Pruden Road, also known as Route 460 around 8:15 a.m. The driver was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Traffic was detoured from Route 460 westbound at Robs Drive. Another detour was set up at Kings Fork Road. This is near Nansemond Suffolk Academy.

The roadway reopened by 1:30 p.m.
