SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A home on Leafwood Road in the rural Holland section of Suffolk was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.
Fire crews responded to the 6200 block of Leafwood Road just before 4 a.m., after neighbors reported that a home was on fire.
Crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames, according to a press release from the Suffolk Fire Department.
After a preliminary search, it was determined that no one was at home.
Several fire crews battled the flames, which caused the home's roof to collapse. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
Water has to be shuttled to the scene because of its rural location.
Two adults and one teenager were displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the Suffolk Red Cross.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire, according to the release.
The home was destroyed.
