SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene of a single story house fire at around midnight Tuesday.
Fire crews responding to the scene in the 2600 block of Buckingham Road were greeted to heavy smoke inside the building. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within twenty minutes.
No one was injured in the fire. The structure sustained moderate fire, smoke and heat damage, according to officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family displaced by the fire.
