SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - More than a dozen college students decided to drive 14 hours to spend their Spring Break in Suffolk.

They took time out from their time off from school to do community service. One of their stops was at the Pine Street Inn in Suffolk, Friday.

The 13 students from Holy Cross University drove 14 hours to choose work over play. They are among hundreds of students taking part in the school's Spring Break immersion program.

WAVY News 10 Photojournalist Walter Hildebrand spent the day with the students. Click on the video player on this page to view his report.
