SUFFOLK,Va - Due to the recent nor’easter, the City of Suffolk Department of Public Works will pick-up storm debris 16 cubic yards and less at no cost to residents beginning tomorrow. Residents should place bulk and brush piles on the curb by 7 a.m. on their collection day. Notification to the Department of Public Works for pick-up of storm debris is not necessary.

Also, in anticipation and preparation of the return of free bulk trash pick- up on December 1st, the City of Suffolk is encouraging community clean- ups. To assist in these efforts, the Department of Public Works will also pick-up non-storm debris of 16cubic yards or less, free of charge if citizens are conducting community clean-up efforts.

After November 30th, piles of 8 cubic yards or less will be free and 9-16 yards will be $50.

Anyone with questions may contact the Department of Public Works - Sanitation
Division at 757-514-7630.
