SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk police are looking for the driver of a tractor trailer, who was involved in a hit and run Monday afternoon.
At 3:19 p.m., police were called to the scene of an accident at the southwest Suffolk Bypass, which connects Route 58 to Carolina Road. According to police spokesman Tim Kelley, an 18-wheeler hit a dump truck, causing the dump truck to run off the road.
The tractor trailer left the scene.
Crews have closed the eastbound ramp from Carolina Road while the dump truck is removed from the guard rail.
Police say the tractor trailer has a blue cab and a white trailer.
