Police hope lottery ticket not so lucky

SUFFOLK, Va - The Suffolk Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify a burglary suspect.

On October 18th, the suspect broke into the Holiday Food store located in the 3600 block of Pruden Boulevard.

The suspect stole only one thing, lottery tickets.

Approximately fourth minutes later, a black male entered the Kangaroo Express located in the 2800 block of Pruden Boulevard.

The suspect presented a winning scratch ticket to the Kangaroo Express where it was exchanged for cash.

That transaction was captured by the store's surveillance cameras.

The Suspect is described as having dreadlocks and was wearing a gray jacket.

Video from the burglary scene indicated the suspect was possible operating a silver of light green, late model Chevy S-10 Blazer of GMC Jimmy
