Suffolk man arrested on weapons charges

Charges stem from incident over the weekend

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk man is facing a long list of weapons charges after he allegedly shot into his girlfriend's home on Great Fork Road over the weekend.

David Lynn Meacham Jr., has been charged with the following: Attempted Malicious Wounding, Firing into an Occupied Dwelling, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He's also been charged with Using Profane and Vulgar Language on the Telephone.

Police say Meacham is facing additional charges after officers found nine guns and ammunition in his home when they went to arrest him.
