SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Fire burned seven family members out of their Suffolk home Sunday evening.
Firefighters took a call of a house fire in 100 block of Woodrow Avenue at 5:07 p.m. Units arrived on scene about six minutes later.
Firefighters arrived to fine the home unoccupied. Engines 2 and 3, Ladder 3, Rescue 1, Medic 2 and Battalion 1 responded to the fire, and crews had the fire under control at 5:33 p.m.
The fire caused no injuries but displaced two adults and five children. The Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Red Cross has been called to help the family.
The Suffolk Fire Marshal's Office continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
