VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - First Colonial High School was put on lock down Friday night after a police officer heard shots fired in the parking lot while a basketball game was going on inside the school's gym.
Police searched the area and only found one shell casing.
A police spokeswoman told WAVY.com no one was shot and there were no witnesses.
The school was put on lock down for a short period of time until police were able to deem it was safe to let people outside.
