WASHINGTON (WAVY) - Senator Jim Webb wants the Internal Revenue Service to give guidance to homeowners affected by toxic Chinese drywall.
He introduced an amendment to the Senate Tax Extenders bill this week. It would require the IRS to help thousands of confused victims trying to file potential claims.
WAVY.com started investigating Chinese drywall concerns more than a year ago. Families left their homes, citing health problems and corroding metals.
