School confirms 2 cases of pertussis
More commonly known as Whooping Cough

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (WAVY) - The headmaster of Isle of Wight Academy confirmed that two cases of Whooping Cough have been reported at the school.
The latest case was reported Monday. School officials were informed of the first case last week.
The school has been in contact with the Health Department and has followed all of their suggestions.
All students at the school have received vaccinations for the illness. The two students that were diagnosed with Whooping Cough also had been vaccinated.
A letter was sent home to all parents last week.
