On Saturday, 10 On Your Side once again helped fight identity theft and hunger with another Shred-It event.

WAVY TV, Shred-It, area foodbanks, ARMA and BayPort Credit Union joined forces to host the events at BayPort locations in Grafton and Chesapeake.

The totals for Saturday's events were:

Peninsula:

BayPort Credit Union
5028 George Washington Hwy.
Grafton, VA 23692

1829 pounds of food.
$173 in donations

Southside:

BayPort Credit Union
2445 Old Taylor Rd.
Chesapeake, VA 23321

Estimated 2000 pounds of food collected.

We appreciate all those who helped make this event a success.
