VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police said a 30-foot sailboat ran aground near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (CBBT) on Friday night.
The sailboat ran into the rock at the first island around 10:20 p.m., according to CBBT Police.
The Coast Guard and CBBT Police responded to the scene and located two people on the rocks of the island.
They were taken to Sentara Bayside Hospital with minor, weather-related injuries.
