Rock out at the American Music Festival

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - This Labor Day Weekend, tens of thousands of people will pack the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for the 19th annual Verizon Wireless American Music Festival.

WAVY/WVBT is proud to be the official television sponsor of this year's event.

The event more than 30 bands over three days - rock, jazz, country, blues and R&B.

Join WAVY Reporters Liz Palka and Anne McNamara Friday, August 31 as they kick off O.A.R. at 9:15 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. Saturday, anchors Ariane Amamburo and Chris Reckling will jump start the Cheap Trick performance. Then, come back for Train Sunday night at 9 p.m.
