NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A man carrying a book about gaining success robbed a Newport News gas station Monday morning then successfully got away.
The suspect walked into the Shell Mini Mart on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard at around 9:15 a.m. According to police spokesperson Harold Eley, he handed the clerk a note, implied he had a weapon and demanded money.
Eley said the suspect was carrying a tan book with the words "The Workshop for Success Workbook" on the cover.
