WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - President Obama left Williamsburg Tuesday morning after spending several days in the city to prepare for the presidential debate against Mitt Romney.
The president departed quickly around 11:45 a.m. at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. WAVY.com was at the scene as the president darted up the stairs and into Air Force One, making sure to stop and wave before disappearing inside the plane.
Around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a Robinson 44 Helicopter that entered into the restricted airspace. The helicopter was escorted to Wakefield Municipal Airport without further incident.
